Morbidly Beautiful

It's not a poorly-made film, but the script is sorely lacking. Even with a lean runtime, getting through it feels like a chore. Using grief and guilt as a backdrop to a home invasion horror has great potential, but it's squandered at every turn.

Mix of popular horror conventions and world building falls apart. This is seen in the erratic relationship between the group. It seems like it its due to grief. When heavy themes are introduced and quickly discarded, it is clear this is trying more.

Zero action a whole hour into the movie. Nothing happens. It's just 3 teens having conversations with eachother the whole time. The acting was good and it was a good idea for a plot, but it would definitely have a higher score if there was more action early on. It was very boring.

I really liked the movie! It's more of like a drama/horror, which is a nice switch up from the typical horror flick. Cinematography was great and acting was on point. Joel Saemundsson especially did a flawless performance.
