The music was different and the same song kept playing all the time between every scene. All the characters were lugubrious and mirthless. Even the main character who had everything anyone could ever really want, and still she couldn't find anything to be happy about. Darling was a very dark and beige movie. There was never really any colour or any hope. The movie doesn't have to end happily or be happy, but if it at least had had hope, I would've at least had the urge to want to see the rest. But I never had that urge inside of me.
