It kicks off with absolute perfection, delivering what is arguably one of the greatest openings for a zombie movie ever, a chaotic, terrifying descent into a sudden apocalypse that perfectly sets a frantic pace. While the narrative admittedly putters off by the end as it settles into more predictable survival tropes, the sheer adrenaline of the first half and the terrifying introduction of fast moving zombies make it an absolute classic for the genre. Even with being over 20 years old the special effect and costume design are top tier. The script was also reasonably logical given the context of the show.
