David Hogan hoganreviews.co.uk A perfectly fine low-budget zombie movie. It pays homage to the game series it itself is a part of well, and even on its own merits it's a perfectly acceptable two hours. Rated: 3/5 Aug 27, 2020 Full Review Mikel Zorrilla Espinof 'Dead Rising: Watchtower' is a mediocre film that misuses all the interesting elements of the original video game saga. [Full Review in Spanish] May 8, 2020 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed I'm usually very rough on video game adaptations, but "Dead Rising" is a surprisingly very good take on the hit video games of the same name. Oct 13, 2015 Full Review Scott Weinberg Nerdist You've seen it all before, true, but at least it's not boring. Jun 25, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews

Fleegle B Really enjoyable. I love Dead Rising Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/24 Full Review The K You've seen it all before, but like the reporter said, it's all about the hot chick. Fun zombie flick to turn your brain off. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/11/23 Full Review steve d Not quite as good as the original because it loses some of the humor but still a lot of fun. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Lucas R It's 50% faithful to its source material, but it doesn't bring the same load of scares as its game franchise. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/23/22 Full Review Milhouse V Watchtower serves as a serviceable zombie film, while being neither the best or the worst in the genre. The main problem is that the narrative arc remains relatively flat throughout the film. The stakes are rarely heightened, and when they are, it's fairly lackluster in comparison to how long you had to wait for it. Instead, the film adapts more of a video game structure, divided up into chapters that are broken up with news cast filler with Rob Riggle appearing as Frank West offering his best zombie advice. From there, the characters all fall into their zombie movie archetypes and never budge from them once entrenched. This leads to an overly predictable story line that is interspersed with splatter and gore and little nods to the video game. However, you would think that since this film is taking the mantle of the video game, there would be stronger connections between the two, but instead it basically makes just enough to justify using the name. It's not a bad way to kill two hours, but it's not something you're going to watch over and over and over either. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/08/21 Full Review jack h Actually pretty good. A bit slow at times but overall a good movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
