A masked killer, a cabin in the woods, a group of teens: the basic ingredients of a very old story. But what happens when the story is interrupted? What happens if it keeps going? What do these horror movie archetypes do when they're thrown into new and unfamiliar situations? Five teenagers are stalked by a killer in the woods. But when the killer accidentally dies, the kids discover they cannot leave until they've fulfilled the script of the movie they're trapped in. They must decide who among them lives and dies.

Now this is what I was anticipating from Quinn Armstrong's FRESH HELL trilogy after loving his previous project SURVIVAL SKILLS. It proves an ingenious thrill ride through the fourth walls of previously shattered fourth walls.

i really enjoyed this movie!! as an avid fan of the slasher genre i was really captivated by the way this film subverts expectations. its very easy to fall into the formula of slashers and i feel like this movie was able to stick to the formula while also making parts of the genre its own. all of the actors give PHENOMENAL performances, my favorite in particular being tony white as ben and maya jeyam as jamie. the only issue i had was the ending as i found it a bit hard to understand but jordan’s acting made it enjoyable despite that! overall i really enjoyed this movie and would highly recommend giving it a watch if you’re a slasher fan!
