Audience Member An 80's Chevy Chase film that I had never seen, and to be honestly I could've went without. It was weird to see him in this flick, it just didn't seem to fit him. It says it's a comedy but that's honestly the one vibe that I did not get from the film. Hines & Weaver were good adds but this, this film was a complete miss. But the dangers of arms selling, now that was on point. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Very funny and quite forgotten. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Not that bad! Just not that great. Worth seeing, more like a black comedy. Speaking of black, Gregory Hines is hilarious in this! ('Just a touch-up!' LOL). Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A weapons dealer pimps out his girlfriend to a dictator in this unfunny farce. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review william s A Chevy Chase bomb should not be ridiculed it should be expected. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The idea of William Friedkin directing a Chevy Chase comedy is pretty awkward, and the result certainly is. The plot and characters are incredibly underworked, but it does manage a handful of amusing, clever moments - based in large part to the charisma of the cast - so it's not quite as bad as its reputation. Still, forgettable and not really worth watching. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times By the evidence, Deal of the Century seems to have had one of two problems. Either it was filmed without a finished script, or it was originally a lot longer, and this is a version without some crucial narrative links. Sep 20, 2023 Full Review Bernard Drew Gannett News Service A stupid, unfunny affair which wastes the talents of its stars Chevy Chase, Sigourney Weaver, Gregory Hines and Wallace Shawn.
