Audience Member I'm not quite sure what to think of writer/director Ulli Lommel. He got his start working with Fassbinder in Germany and then later did a series of projects with Andy Warhol, so he's clearly a smart guy. However, this film and most any of his other films just seem terrible. He's lately focused on making cheap low budget movies about real-life serial killers. But to this film in particular, the story is about a teenage computer whiz who steals a high-tech sentient mini-helicopter that a bunch of bad guys want back. This film wants to be "Wargames," "Short Circuit" and "Blue Thunder" all mashed into one film, but the end result is just stupid. The only thing that kept my interest was that the film was made during the 1980s, so I enjoyed the fashions, decor, and music. Nothing else to recommend here though.
