The team of top-secret program brings ATF agent Doug Carlin (Denzel Washington) into its midst to capture the terrorist (Jim Caviezel) responsible for a ferry bombing that left hundreds dead. Sounds a bit dodgy, huh? Not when an in-form Denzel Washington is involved. He's the glue that keeps this absurdly compelling thriller together as it mashes up the present and the past to intoxicating effect.

I am on a Tony Scott retrospective. Having seen most of them now, I think this is one of his best films, frankly, and the fact that it is explicitly a science fiction enterprise should allow us to suspend disbelief at what many have labelled plot holes. It is simply an utterly convincing slice of a different reality. I found myself completely convinced and taken along by the narrative. It is brilliantly filmed, and superbly acted. It is definitely entertainment of the highest order. Highly recommended.

This is the type of movie critics will hate but every casual viewer finds interesting and entertaining. The acting is solid. No need to explain why this methods of science are not possible… just take it for what it is and enjoy it. It’s a pretty fun movie.

If you are serious about your life and seeking to learn something from movies - this is not a movie to watch. I can't believe good actor Denzel Washington signed for that. This is fiction, miraculous , magical movie with a lot of nonsense points.
