Grant, Wilda, Cody, and Ferg are all college students in Salt Lake City. Grant and Cody are supposed to be best friends, but Grant--a paranoid and spoiled film student--suspects that Cody is secretly hooking up with Wilda, an ex-girlfriend Grant is struggling to remain amicable with. Their friend is Ferg, Wilda's nonbinary stoner cousin and an amateur student of Theosophy and Ritual Majick. Fleeing an atmospheric disaster known as "The Inversion" in the Salt Lake Valley, the group decides to go camping in Southern Utah's Arches National Park. As Grant's obsessive voyeurism escalates on-site, he begins to sense a malevolent, yet imperceptible, force encroaching on them. What is it? An ancient Lovecraftian Evil? An extraterrestrial manipulation? A nuclear experiment gone wrong? Fucking zombies?!?! Or... something even weirder?

Kevin S @RT12150416 May 1 One of the worst movies I can recall seeing. There are effectively NO redeeming qualities (like, say: goods cinematography, story arc, character development, etc), choosing a rather ham-fisted breaking of the fourth wall to replace literally all aspects that make a movie. It's kind of hard to like a movie when basically every single one of the main characters is so, SO unlikable (except the stoner character) starting from only a few minutes into the movie, until the end, to say nothing of the fact that they've miscast people and written poor dialogue for the roles they've selected for those characters. A sterling example of that being the guy who is supposed to be an obtusely alpha male sort of guy......yet he comes across as almost CERTAINLY gay (the actor, in real life) and just extremely effeminate and petty and in no way matching that role that they've selected for his character....and the nerd supposed to be being bullied by him still comes across as (slightly) more masculine.
