This story was inevitable with the set up from the previous Descendants movies. However, this film felt very cliche in the telling of that story and could have benefited from a few rewrites. The songs were forgettable, the choreography was hit or miss and the editing and direction caused the movie to drag in several places. The writing wasn’t subpar from the second movie. In several places during the film I felt the actors improvising lines to keep the film moving forward. The special effects had a bigger budget in this film, as did the set design. Both showed improvement from the previous film. This movie is not something I would recommend unless you are a die hard fan of the franchise. Porém, após o vilão Hades tentar escapar quando Mal e seus amigos vão pegar os escolhidos, o programa é cancelado e decidido que a barreira nunca mais será aberta. Porém, Audrey, a filha da Bela Adormecida, decide se vingar de todos e passa a usar do cetro da Maléfica contra todos em Auradon. Mal e seus amigos decidem retornar à Ilha para buscar ajuda contra Audrey. Depois de 2 filmes onde a ameaça vinha da Ilha dos Perdidos, agora o inimigo estava em Auradon, ou seja, entre os mocinhos. China McClain se firma como personagem regular na franquia e continua roubando a cena. No mais, um filme que apesar de ter vilões, não tem pessoas más. Sempre há uma desculpa ou explicação pelo modo de agir desses personagens. A fórmula é a mesma dos outros filmes, o que começa a ficar cansativo e sem ideia.
