Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express [Dhamaal] is mindless fun, just right for those days you want to sack out in your seat, and laugh out loud once every few minutes. Jun 4, 2019 Full Review Namrata Joshi Outlook The film is essentially nothing more than a series of gags most of which leave you giggling silly. Rated: 3/4 Jan 25, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I remember when I was eight years old and had been hospitalised, I saw this trailer on my room's TV. We didn't have a TV at home so I had never seen a film trailer before my whole life, and that's probably why I was so much intrigued by this. When I got well and went to school I was bragging before everyone that I have watched this film, even though I didn't even know its name (I used to think its name is A Ya O because of its theme song). I was such a child back then. So finally I got to watch it a few years later when we got a TV at home. And now it's my favourite family film. First of all, yes, I am well aware of the fact that this is an adaptation of a Hollywood film "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" (I don't know if I wrote Mad the correct number of times and my internet is too slow to check). And because of that I will not praise this film in any manner for its storytelling, even though I haven't even watched the Hollywood film. And secondly, I have watched the next two films in the series as well and I regret having done that. This film is best enjoyed as a standalone work, without seeing what happens after the incidents of this film. I really liked the sense of humour of this film as a kid. Every other scene is funny. And because of the background score, campy acting, the expressions of the actors and the fact that I watched it as a kid make it very clear that this film is meant to be for children, even though adults can also enjoy it. Roy was my favourite character in this film because I found his magnetic belt very cool. It is also the film from which I learnt about Riteish Deshmukh, and I have always had a positive perception of him no matter what kind of films he does (I didn't even know he had done adult films, heck, I didn't even know adult films were a thing). This film is one of those Bollywood comedies that basically shaped my childhood alongside Welcome, De Dana Dan, Munna Bhai and No Entry. It hasn't aged at all in all these years and is fun to watch for the entire family, especially if you have children. I mean of course there is an item song in the beginning, but other than that it has aged almost perfectly. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the type of slapstick comedy that brought many of these actors to stardom and will be surely missed in the Bollywood cinema scene. Today's comedies just can't compare to the genuine randomness yet good naturedness of the 2000s comedy series! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Bit Double Meaning But Fun Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Ahmed M The movie is quite funny, has an interesting story and good enough characters to support the movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/06/16 Full Review Audience Member Dhamaal is truly a comedic laughing riot. Although some scenes are recycled from It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, Rat Race and Mr. Bean, it will certainly put a smile on your face and make you laugh for sure. With Director Indra Kumar weaving in twists and turns, new characters, and a comedic script and actions, it's popcorn filled fun for the whole family. Watch this if you're feeling bored or down. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review yash b Wild and hilarious comedy. You'll laugh most of the way through. It's definitely a very dumb movie but it is consistently fun.
