Allure E Jul 21 I remember seeing this piece of crap on TV in the 90's, just found it again on Tubi cause I wanted to see if it was really as awful as I remembered and my God, how this film for greenlit, let alone released is utterly perplexing. The acting is laughable and atrocious, whenever I see Forest Whitaker I can't help but recall the Key and Peele skit about Baby Forest Whitaker. This terribly forced and wooden performance only undergirds that sketch's truth. And Sherilyn Fenn proves again that she is looks and no talent. One of the worst actresses in the history of film. And the writing is contrived, unconvincing and the plot is ridiculously idiotic. Was someone on PCP when this was written? As a play or a film this is uninspired and feels like a bad dream. Whitaker then gets to know Fenn and the story follows predictable and boring results, becoming a stage bound story set in her apartment. The most interesting part was when Sharon Stone unexpectedly shoed up in bit part. I've always liked Sherilyn Fenn, but realized she's never been the star of a decent movie. She's been a supporting character in good stuff, like "Twin Peaks" or "Of Mice and Men". And she does deserve a good starring role. If you want to watch Whitaker as a hitman, watch Jim Jarmusch's "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai" instead. See more Read all reviews
