Vishal Menon The Hollywood Reporter India As much about life’s most horrific incident bringing people together as it is about the same people trying to deal with grief. In Rahul Sadavisan’s singularly twisted manner, he conjures up a movie about trauma bonding, in a way only he can. Nov 11, 2025 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix Diés Iraé is a horror movie that is more hit than miss in this story about a man who's being haunted by a mysterious ghost. This suspenseful film has excellent sound design, good acting, and a few plot twists that overcome the occasional dull pacing. Nov 2, 2025 Full Review Anandu Suresh The Indian Express Instead of shocking viewers, Rahul has made the movie slither under their skin step by step, each move sending a shiver down their spine. Rather than petrifying, he has focused on making the audience writhe, ensuring that the sensation lingers. Rated: 4/5 Nov 2, 2025 Full Review Rohit Panikker Filmfare It is haunting, thoughtful, and technically accomplished. Yet it is also slow and occasionally distant. The film’s commitment to quiet tension may frustrate those looking for a faster or clearer payoff. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 2, 2025 Full Review S. R. Praveen The Hindu Along with Pranav Mohanlal, the small cast of Gibin Gopinath, Arun Ajikumar, and Jaya Kurup deliver effective performances that convey horror in full measure. Oct 31, 2025 Full Review Sreeju Sudhakaran LatestLY.com Diés Iraé may not match the thematic depth of Bhoothakaalam or the mythic supernatural politics of Bramayugam, but as a straightforward horror film, it’s Rahul Sadasivan operating with sharp control and confident craft. Umesh First half is top notch, they managed to create a eerie vibe with constant feeling of discomfort! Second half has its moments. Overall a decent horror movie, definitely better than other recent movies in this genre. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/18/25 Full Review Bipin Good Cinematography! Plots very thin Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/05/25 Full Review Raja T Excellent cinematography, editing, plot setting that atmospheric horror mood. Ultimate theatre experience! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/02/25 Full Review Abhi J Technically good but no depth nor substance Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/01/25 Full Review Able L An absolute thriller rooted in Kerala cultural traditions and urban lore. Sound plays a pivotal role in the cinema that would be missed if you don’t see in the theatre. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/09/25 Full Review Nayana Anna B I felt that the acting by Pranav was top-notch.I felt that me as an audience could understand what the character Rohan was feeling at each point of time. The cinematography was great. And the storyline was not that predictable except for the fact I had guessed that Manu and Philip were the same person.I would have loved to get a closure on Kani's story but ig that's been purposefully avoided by the creators to make a part 2 of the movie(The final scene also points towards it).I loved how the references were made to Bhootakalam and Bramayugam.Overall the movie was a great watch. Finally my suggestion is to go watch the movie with a clear mind without any expectations. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/08/25 Full Review Read all reviews
