Set at the end of World War II, this fact-based TV movie focuses on the wave of European immigrants that come to Australia hoping to start new, better lives after the nightmare years of war. But the refugees remain quarantined outside Sydney after many of them come down with a mysterious disease. A doctor (John Wood) and nurse (Annie Byron) try to help the refugees adjust, but they're understaffed and quickly overwhelmed by the scope of the calamity.
