Tim C. It looked cool aesthetically, but the plot was an afterthought, so it put me to sleep. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/08/23 Full Review Justin Definitely a weird film, reminiscent of a 90's indie sci-fi. Overall I enjoyed it but could have done without the graphic sex scenes. Nothing is more uncomfortable then watching those scenes in a theater with complete strangers. Subtracting one star because of that. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review Ash Leone Very bizarre, but very entertaining! Definitely a one of kind film! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Joseph P Very weird and creepy, kinda reminded me of the vibes I got from Beyond the Black Rainbow. Definitely not for everyone but I enjoyed it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Michael Amazing experience for sickos Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/04/23 Full Review Jerod S Divinity is a serum that will keep you young and strong. But the movie is all confused around 2 alien brothers eventually fighting a divinity monster and a lot of goop around fertility and womanhood. Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle For a movie about our relationship with our bodies, there's surprisingly little intellectual meat on its pretentious bones. Rated: 2/5 Nov 2, 2023 Full Review Carlos Aguilar Los Angeles Times A movie destined for a cult following and subsequent midnight showings, “Divinity” does commit the sin of placing style over substance, but there’s enough of the latter to keep one’s mind spinning along with it Oct 23, 2023 Full Review Christian Zilko indieWire Alcazar pulls on whatever narrative thread suits his fancy in a given minute, but once you realize that piecing his shots together into something truly coherent is a fool’s errand, it’s a delight to accompany him for the ride. Rated: B+ Oct 16, 2023 Full Review Kristian M. Lin Fort Worth Weekly Just see this thing for Danny Hiele's black-and-white cinematography delineating a future world that truly feels alien. Mar 18, 2024 Full Review Murjani Rawls Draftkings Nation There’s a more thematic richness to this world that is too shielded to bring everything into fuller form. Nov 13, 2023 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media In the end, this movie's message is tediously simple, but points must be given for the grungy, black-and-white cinematography, striking composition, and even a stop-motion fight scene.
