Renee Schonfeld Common Sense Media Spin on classic fairy tale is energetic but predictable. Rated: 2/5 Aug 12, 2019 Full Review John Serba Decider There's a flimsy, saccharine chirpiness to DJ Cinderella that manifests when a movie is trying too hard to be funny and colorful. Igor A Leve, singelo, objetivo, e divertido. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/26/24 Full Review Audience Member Not. Just don't watch this movie. It's really bad. The acting is really bad, especially the main character. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Well. Where to start. Another retelling of Cinderella that pales in comparison the magnificent "A Cinderella Story" starring Hillary Duff, the ultimate cinematic masterpiece. This film is dull with borderline offensive acting from the crazy aunt because, a woman goes mad when she is single, who has no place in this movie as a substitute fairy godmother as she stitches up her niece with that trash outfit she just happened to own. Loved the glass slipper being a shoe, wish it was an ugg to be more realistic of teenagers and, to be honest the male lead was a simp who felt hard, declaring love after knowing this chick for five minutes, a standard no real teenage boy can live up to. A flicker of hope emerges in the energetic Maisa Silva as Cinderella who is able to pretend like she doesn't despise the rest of her inadequate and frankly cringe cast mates. I enjoyed the spin on the tale as a secret DJ is admittedly more fun than housekeeper yet I struggled to get past the god awful basic techno tunes I rate 2/10 which no teenager would listen to unless they are insane enough to go to Bongo nightclub. I really didn't hate this movie, I sat through it without crying but I wish this idea for a strong female lead didn't deflate upon impact. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this movie, although it is not new, it is another beautiful teen love story that needs to be watched, Maisa Silva is sweet and wonderful! I loved this Netflix production Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a good story but the English dubs are *not*. Watch it in its original language and just use subtitles. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member DJ Cinderella has the most solid plot of any Cinderella version I've ever read or seen. Unlike all the other versions - this time the Prince doesn't forget what Cinderella looks like just because she changed dresses! It is a cheesy tween movie, but I hope you already figured that out. I really enjoyed it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
