Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com This film, although not your “traditional” thriller, will leave you with many aching questions. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 4, 2024 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media This is a powerful and unsparing portrait of the lives of refugee sex workers in the Chang Mai province of Thailand. Jan 12, 2024 Full Review Juan Pablo Russo EscribiendoCine [Doi Boy] could've been much more impactful and resonant with more careful execution and a deeper exploration of its central themes. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 5/10 Nov 28, 2023 Full Review Romey Norton Ready Steady Cut However, the director’s documentaries might be his strong suit, as there are times when the plot will feel weak, and underdeveloped, and there are parts that warrant more exploration. Prof. Dr. Răzvan I A very well exploited subject, not so known to a broad public. A must-see at list for the topi if not for the cinematography. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review j F The pacing was sometimes fast, sometimes slow. The enforced disappearances part was a puzzle, more background would have helped. The plot also had some logical holes in the road. Cinematography was enchanting. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/04/24 Full Review Jay M The movie tends to wander, leaving the viewer confused. The story is good and the acting is solid. I liked it! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/25/23 Full Review Dino W I think this script has a lot of potential, but the whole storytelling seems to be scattered. It's not quite right to say that the storyline is not very coherent, because it is, but it's just a bit jumpy. The whole thing feels like I'm watching a documentary, not quite like a Netflix Film, where things just go on and on without any ups and downs. The topics and themes are good, but slightly disappointing storytelling. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
