Alan Ng Film Threat Don’t Answer delivers exactly what it promises — a brutal, bloody good time wrapped in small-town paranoia. It’s a scrappy indie slasher that proves you don’t need a big budget to have big scares and plenty of fun. Rated: 7/10 Oct 22, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

jason M. “Don’t Answer” (2025) is a sharp, modern twist on the classic slasher formula — equal parts homage and reinvention. Director Mark S. Allen further proves his chops as one of the great modern horror filmmakers. Jack Amsler delivers a chillingly restrained performance that oozes menace, while Annabel Storm channels full Jamie Lee Curtis energy with a scream-queen–worthy turn. With nods to Halloween and other genre staples, the film masterfully balances tension, style, and fun in a way that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new. A must-watch for horror fans craving something modern that still respects the classics. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/25 Full Review Shannon Q. Jack Amsler delivers a chilling powerhouse performance in Don’t Answer. As a recently released psychiatric patient, he keeps us on the edge of our seats throughout the film. Jack is frighteningly real as “Jack” and his charming appearance belies his menacing physical strength, which adds to the believability. Unfortunately for this small town, Jack is en route. The humor peppered throughout this movie gives the viewer a break from the horror. Well done writers Mark S. Allen and Howard Burd. Two thumbs up for director, Mark S. Allen. Annabel Storm as Molly, and the entire cast portraying unsuspecting victims in this Northern California small town are all great to watch. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this talented bunch. Don’t Answer was amazing on the big screen with lots of jump scares. I’m watching at home on Apple TV next….with the door double locked! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/28/25 Full Review Mark A. Biased of course- but this film is a fun, satisfying horror movie for everyone! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/28/25 Full Review Anastasia K “Don’t Answer” delivers that old-school horror thrill we’ve been missing — the kind that sneaks up on you, not the kind that splashes fake blood across the screen every five seconds. It’s got that Halloween-esque energy — suspenseful, eerie, and classic — but with a modern polish that keeps it fresh. The tension builds quietly, the way real fear does. Every sound, every flicker of light, every unanswered call tightens the grip on your nerves. It’s not about gore; it’s about the anticipation of it. The film teases you — gives you that “oh no, it’s coming” feeling — then cuts to a muted moment that makes you jump out of your seat anyway. The special effects are perfectly balanced — believable without being overdone. You actually feel the fear without drowning in blood or CGI chaos. Visually beautiful, emotionally tense, and psychologically sharp, “Don’t Answer” proves that horror doesn’t need to scream to be heard. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/26/25 Full Review Mike V. Perfect movie for the scary season! So many twists and turns. Made me jump out of my seat several times! Such a great cast as they all deliver the goods no pun intended. After watching it will make you think twice about answering the door to strangers. Go see it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/23/25 Full Review Craig V LOVE this movie! So many twists and turns, plenty of jump scares and a great ride. This is sure to be a forever favorite of mine! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/22/25 Full Review Read all reviews
