Alan Ng Film Threat Oct 22
7/10
Don’t Answer delivers exactly what it promises — a brutal, bloody good time wrapped in small-town paranoia. It’s a scrappy indie slasher that proves you don’t need a big budget to have big scares and plenty of fun. Go to Full Review

TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 1d Don’t Answer is a low budget thriller that proves watchable despite obvious flaws. The story has an intriguing hook and a few tense moments that kept me from turning it off, even when the production value showed its limits. Some casting choices, especially the bar scenes, are painfully awkward and pull you out of the film, making the threat feel less believable. The screenplay is uneven, with the therapist angle feeling forced, but the idea beneath it still works. Where the film improves is with the antagonist and the two sisters, whose performances add real menace and emotional grounding. Direction and pacing are serviceable, never stylish, yet steady enough to keep curiosity alive. This isn’t a great movie, but it isn’t a waste either. With better casting, tighter writing, and a stronger budget, it could have been genuinely gripping. As it stands, Don’t Answer is a flawed but compelling one time watch for fans of indie thrillers who can look past rough edges. Worth a late night try.! See more Moustafa Mahdi R @MooseSpeed 6d This movie was flat out garbage. The acting was unbearable. The only thing horror about it was how horrible the story, acting, and videography was. I hope the writer/producer/director considers choosing another field. They did a great job im sure of using this as a way to launder money because there is no way someone comes up with this and thinks its a great movie idea. I may be blunt but im honest. See more Jayme D @Jaymolaymo 6d I read the info without watching the trailer and rented it on Amazon. Since I already paid I figured I’d see it through. The movie seems very low budget with this being everyone’s first time acting. The jokes and lines are corny. Everything about the acting was bad. The music in the movie was overwhelmingly loud and the rap song gave SoundCloud rapper vibes. The camera moved the entire movie. I feel like a teenager was holding the camera. I felt like I was watching a 1970s horror film. With all the technology available, this movie could have been decent. I will say the idea of the psycho delivery driver was a good idea. If there were better actors and a professional holding the camera, it could have been a good movie. See more Coach Gino S Dec 10 Don’t Answer aims for horror but never gets there. The story is flat and one-dimensional, the filming looks rough, and the acting is unconvincing throughout. Even the so-called horror scenes are basic and lack any real impact. Overall, it’s a forgettable effort that doesn’t deliver on its premise. See more Jan D @Collector Dec 4 The high ratings are guaranteed to be all fake. If you look at the profiles nearly all of them have only one review for this movie. This is such a juvenile movie. Poorly shot. Poorly acted. Poorly written. I actually rented this movie based on positive reviews, which is why I felt obligated to write a honest review. What a waste of money. Hopefully this will help save your money. See more Kelly D Nov 5 Don’t Answer is a Phycological film that makes you cover your eyes at times and also has you laughing at the corny jokes. The main character Jack does a phenomenal job portraying a PHYCO even though he looks like a handsome delivery driver. This film does make you wonder who’s actually at your door!
