Jamie Kennedy brings some nostalgic charm, and Matt Rife shows glimpses of his comedic talent, but the screenplay is disjointed and poorly structured. Scenes feel disconnected, dialogue-heavy, and awkward, making it difficult to engage with the story or characters. The pacing is uneven, with long stretches that drag, and the tone swings unpredictably between bizarre horror and forced comedy, leaving viewers unsure of how to react. The vampire subplot is underdeveloped, and the film rarely delivers suspense or laughs effectively. Despite flashes of humor, the movie feels chaotic and unpolished. Direction struggles to unify the material, and the talented cast is mostly wasted. Overall, Don’t Suck squanders its premise, providing a frustrating, incoherent, and forgettable experience that misses the opportunity to be a clever, entertaining horror-comedy.
