From the first minute I could tell this film was important because my thoughts got quieter and the movie’s thoughts got louder which is how you know it’s working. The story is about a kid who matters a lot and honestly that already puts it above most films. Every scene happens with confidence like it knows it belongs there and I respected that. The acting feels so real that I briefly forgot about my own responsibilities. Halfway through I noticed I was in a better mood and I can’t prove Donut Kid caused that but I also can’t rule it out. The pacing moves forward which is exactly what pacing should do. When it ended I felt changed in a good and heroic way. Five stars easily because this movie didn’t just entertain me it upgraded me.
