Michael D If you like the first one you will definitely like this movie it's a lot better than the the reviews are giving a credit for. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/29/23 Full Review corkball Given all the garbage that passes for movies these days, the latest Dragonheart installment isn't awful. Given the clearly limited budget, it looks pretty good, especially owing to its landscape settings. The plot is the standard hero's journey, and while it has been done far better, it has also been done far worse. The CGI is, let's say, good enough for what they are trying to do. The action and characters are decent, not great. My one pet peeve is they shoehorn in the characters a little too conveniently. The baddies all explain their plan in front of the kid, and then he manages to just 'pick up' allies to fight his battle almost without even trying. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Good wholesome combination of action and comedy. 👍👍👍👍 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/03/22 Full Review Audience Member This one was ok overall with a different twist on things using a female dragon that's a shape-shifter, but this 4th installment wasn't a continuation in the series. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Ridiculous, cliché, and cheap, but surprisingly enjoyable. It's a poor follow for the original Dragonheart, but it is honestly the best of the Dragonheart sequels. For the low bar, it has fairly likable characters, decent effects, legitimately good humor and action, and Helena Bonham Carter makes a great dragon. A thoroughly alright movie, which is more than I can say for any of the other sequels. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Generally you cannot go wrong with Dragons and the dragon was lovely. Sadly the story line seems too similar to Eragon. Given that Eragon was badly cinematographed the two are about on par despite clearly talented actors. Im still not happy with the female dragon voice, maybe its needs to be deeper and richer and accented somehow. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
