Fleegle B Way too slow got bored with it Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/06/24 Full Review Montgomery M The first like 30 minutes was fairly standard horror movie stuff but a little sillier. It still felt like a horror movie and it was kind of fun and I'm a fan of horror movies that take place in a snowy setting. But then we got into the weird CGI effects and the brittish alien possessing the one friend and the weird army alien invasion shit and I was just lost. I don't know how this is a real movie. Don't even get me started on the ending Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/13/23 Full Review john w Forget the low score, it's a good film and definitely worth a watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/01/23 Full Review Alannah S If, like me, you read the book and got excited to see the movie off the back of it….don't bother. It annoys me that people associate the quality of this movie with the writing of King. The book had me terrified and uncomfortable in an intoxicating way. The movie was pure awful, a rushed, over simplified and ridiculous take on the story. I can't understand how anyone who wasn't already aware of the storyline or the plot could have followed this drivel. And am at a complete loss as to how both Morgan freeman and king himself allowed their names to be associated with this total mess. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Cicely B What a chaotic, incredibly silly, disgustingly crass, genre-confused, testosterone-fuelled mess! It got me good - right in the nutsack! And I still have 41 minutes to go! I'll finish it tomorrow. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/19/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Scott Tobias AV Club Perhaps due to the talent of everyone involved, Dreamcatcher moves with an oddly exhilarating awfulness that sets it apart from more run-of-the-mill horror films, which lack the imagination and budget to be so thoroughly misconceived. Dec 10, 2018 Full Review Christy Lemire Associated Press Dreamcatcher is unspeakably bad -- and shockingly so -- considering that it's an adaptation of a Stephen King novel, from the director of The Big Chill (Lawrence Kasdan) and the writer of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (William Goldman). Dec 10, 2018 Full Review Jack Mathews New York Daily News Dreamcatcher is pretty much a special-effects movie, with uneven results. Dec 7, 2018 Full Review Micheal Compton Bowling Green Daily News If this is what Stephen King movies have disintegrated into, then it's time to pull the plug. Rated: F Nov 15, 2019 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens Obviously, the hole in Dreamcatcher was a little too small thus allowing a lot of the bad aspects of the film to stick in the web along with the good. Nov 7, 2019 Full Review Alberto Abuín Espinof Not only the excess of visual effects removes part of the film's quality, but also the plot inconsistencies occur non-stop.
