Brent G @bgillett86 Mar 9 The most impressive thing about this film is the cast of Actresses that would go on to become the who's who of television and Cinema. Kirsten Dunst, Denise Richards, Amy Adams, and Brittany Snow are either just beginning their ascent in Hollywood or recently established when this was released in 1999. It's a middle of the road mockumentary, but enough laughs to win me over. See more VITALII H @freakynickison Feb 28 It was really funny. The movie felt like Cinderella story meets idk, SNL? The cast carried the movie honestly. Of course there were some cringy moments but overall I had a blast. I didn’t wanna watch something heavy or meaningful so I decided to watch some beauty pageant comedy and it did it’s job. Kirsten Dunst and Brittany Murphy are my everything and this being Amy Adams debut role is crazy! Kirstie Allie had me cracking up and so did Ellen Barkin. The whole cast of this movie is so beautiful and this cult classic deserves way more than being and underground late 90s movie with only 47% on rotten tomatoes! (Although if I was doing the soundtrack I would want Miss World by Hole to be the main theme song it fits this movie so well ugh) THIS IS NUTS GERMANY! Such filthy innuendos, language & slop even for a mockumentary. The people I know from MN are lovely, not like portrayed here. As for the beauty pageant aspect, as we’ve seen with the Epstein/Trump pageants, it’s way worse in real than even this could make it. I wouldn’t even give it half a rotten tomato!
