Sometimes it can be grating for these delusional characters to never learn a lesson, but June’s charm out-weighs this character flaw and just becomes an easy comedic watch.

Drugstore June is very much a comedy that hits on the mark of being a film you either find funny or you don’t... I can say I did find the film frequently pretty funny, thanks to the lead performance by Povitsky and the heavy lineup of comedians of today.

It takes too long to realize the movie may not entirely be down with June’s brand of millennial outrage and slackness and by then her behavior is registered more with annoyance than satire leaving its better scenes for comedy’s heavier hitters.

I was ready to give up on it after the first 35 minutes; however, it found its footing (or I bought into the premise) in the last hour and found myself chuckling at the absurdity and deadpan humor. It might be one of those movies that is better the second time around, knowing what you’re going into and letting it ride. I love Beverly D’Angelo, but would’ve cast parents who were at least 10 years younger; the age gap wasn’t believable for someone who I assume was supposed to be around 25 (June).

Immediately confused by Junes age . I can see this character as a teenager . Or very early twenty something. I thought the actors who played Junes parents were not a good fit . Her brother was perfect . Big fan of Bobby Lee .

I normally enjoy watching these coming of age stories but i couldnr get past the first 10 minutes. The main character June seemed fun and worthwhile but the dinner scene with the brother...I couldn't. It sounds like an old person wrote the script without even researching kids today. I might try again later but I think the rest of it will sound like this so I don't think it's worth the time for anyone to watch this.
