honestly a super fun watch? i've played maybe two games of dnd in my life (and i'm pretty sure one of them was like, a ripoff version), so the references went mostly over my head, but it honestly works as like a standalone fantasy film? which i think is the way to go??? from what i can understand, most of the fun of dnd is using the preexisting worldbuilding or settings to create your own stories and characters, and these characters very much felt like creations of passionate players. yes, some of the humor didn't really work for me, but i had a great time. the music went hard. i was totally engaged!! i'd consider watching this again
