Ed Potton Times (UK) Retro costumiers across the country must have been ransacked for this 1977-set comedy. Unfortunately, no amount of bell bottoms and polyester shirts can disguise its lack of gumption. Rated: 2/5 Sep 28, 2018 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian It's a strange, gritless oyster of a film, more feelbland than feelgood. Rated: 2/5 Sep 26, 2018 Full Review Andrew Murray The Upcoming As far as British indie films go, there are certainly funnier out there with a whole lot more creativity, but for anyone looking for a feel-good adventure to keep the family entertained on a rainy afternoon, they can't go wrong with Dusty & Me. Rated: 3/5 Feb 18, 2021 Full Review Sarah Cartland Caution Spoilers Beautifully staged in a 1970s northern town (apart from the Del Monte fruit cocktail which has far too many of those pink cherries), this is a sweet movie about a slightly misfit teen and his dog that won't raise any hackles except on a cat. Rated: 2.5/5 Nov 9, 2018 Full Review Matthew Bond The Mail on Sunday (UK) Simple but quite sweet. Rated: 3/5 Oct 5, 2018 Full Review Edward Porter Sunday Times (UK) Like quite a few British feel-good films, it's nostalgically set in the 1970s; like even more of them, it's well meant but flimsy. Tim P A bit of lighthearted nostalgia with plenty of feelgood, it gets more enjoyable as it goes on with some of the characters finding a surprise for you, especially the trainer. It shows here's a kind heart for within most, especially where animals are involved, and just how lovely the greyhound is a breed Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/27/19 Full Review Read all reviews
