Stefan Birgir Stefans sbs.is Perhaps the least faithful biopic ever made. Even if more suitable actor had been cast, it wouldn't have been enough to save the film. The script is just bad, the acting all around is horrendous and so is the whole production. Rated: 0.5/5 Jun 8, 2007 Full Review Read all reviews

Matt H It was pretty funny, I laughed my way through this awkward film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/29/24 Full Review Audience Member The ratings were pretty low for the film. I was surprised. It is bloody and gory; the director, writer(s), and producers didn't skimp on the detailed murders and blood. However, the performance given by most of the actors, especially Kane Hudder, which was outstanding, gives the film merit. Actually the thing that struck me the most about the movie were the shots of "Plainfield;" what a dump! But it was a perfectly constructed set for this type of crime. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review steve d The real story is freaky enough. This slasher version is ineffective. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Very Uninformative! Just by doing a Google search and reading for 5 mins you will find more information than watching this movie for 1 1/2 hours. Not accurate looked nothing like Ed Gein and did not really dive into his life beginning or end. It just drops you off in the middle. The script and acting were also very sloppy. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member These live action quasi-documentaries are always questionable. It does a very basic job with no backstory of showing some of the torture and murder. It takes place directly during the time and in the location of the torture and murders. Some of the scenes are dragged out. I think some are unnecessary. And the film for some reason got a lower violence rating than the R rating, it initially called. It's somewhat graphic, as this story is the precursor and the basis and inspiration for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series. While very few elements carried over into the actual series, the original and real plot was a lot more simpler and realistic. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member awesome movie. one thing I love about this movie it's based on real events. and I also know somewhat about the real story Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
