Audience Member Decide to do a thing. You never now how, but it might make a difference. A nice heart-warming story to illustrate that. A nice way of transport for a road-movie! (although I wondered if all the train-roads were mantained...) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Such a beautiful and heart-warming story of a group of seniors who lament the rise of American influence and capitalism in Uruguay and are sparked into action when Hollywood wants an old steam locomotive. With the help of a sweet grandson, the team hijacks the train and rides it off into the countryside. Good look at the greed that should be rebelled against, the people that we see everyday but fail to notice how inspiring they are, and how a small group of people really can make a difference. Wonderfully sweet, I highly recommend it! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Director Diego Arsuaga has done wonders with this story about a bunch of older men, who are friends and all they have in common is their love for the steam trains of their youth. When they learn about the last locomotive being sold by the callous Jimmy to Hollywood, they rally against seeing their beloved, if a bit dilapidated locomotive, to be taken away from the country. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member The version I rented starts when the "Friends of the Train Society" decided to rescue their favourite train rather than let it be shipped off to the US. Enjoyable for steam locomotive fans - us! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I almost cried at the end. . .Even if this is the only wonderful movie that ever comes out of Uruguay, it will stand as a stellar achievement in cinema. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Di quei film che lasciano con un sorriso. Toccanti nella loro semplicità. Per chi e' ancora un po' bambino una piccola, ma grande favola per adulti. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
