      Audience Member Ya ven, ahora sí que la pegamos con esta, jeje. Como antes mencioné en mi review de El Profe. El Padrecito hecha casi 7 años antes que el Profe, ofrece un producto más original y mejor desarrollado, con un elenco impecable y sabiendo lograr llevar el mensaje y el humor que el genial Cantinflas siempre sabe lograr hacer. Apoyado de Angel Garasa que nació para hacer de sacerdote en películas y con otras estrellas como Angelines Fernandez, que puede presumir de haber trabajado con los 2 mejores comediantes que Latinoamérica ha dado, tanto en TV, Chespirito, como en cine, con Cantinflas. Incluso un Rogelio Guerra todavía muy joven empezando su carrera. El Padrecito es un filme excelente, que demuestra con inteligencia y humor, una buena historia. Altamente recomendada. Aplausos para el guión y por supuesto para el incomparable Cantinflas. Filmada durante el Concilio Vaticano II, esta cinta se adelanta a su época al presentar una Iglesia diferente que sea creativa y cercana al pueblo. "El padrecito" con ingenio pero obediente a sus autoridades deja alegría y transforma a una comunidad y también (aquí está la delicadeza de la crítica) a la "vieja Iglesia" [representada en el P. Damián] que no ha podido renovarse y se ha estancado. Tiene muchos ingredientes positivos: humor, objetividad y con alto contenido humano y religioso, "El padrecito" sigue vigente y aquí está su grandeza: que a pesar del tiempo sigue estando tan viva y actual como el año en que se filmó. De las cintas que se siguen disfrutando cada vez que se ven aunque pase el tiempo. Apparently the subtitles were not very well done and some of the humor is lost in translation but El Padrecito is still very well made and there are plenty of laughs from sight gags and Cantinflas' quirky mannerisms.
