Audience Member El Peñon de las Animas is a pretty bad mexican adaptation to William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet that is saved thanks to 2 significant elements: Maria Felix's remarkable first performance where she looks absolutely gorgeous and played the role of a good woman, and Jorge Negrete's incredible songs, his performance is a little bad though. I don't really blame him because the screenplay sucks and the direction is defective. Anyway, I kind of enjoyed the film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
