It's all very stylized and flashy and modern, self-consciously hip in a way that's clearly been designed to speak to generations for whom Elvis Presley may not be the King of Rock 'n' Roll so much as the guy on the soundtrack to "Lilo & Stitch." Go to Full Review

Luhrmann's fast-cutting super-montage style overpowers the subject matter, and the result is an impressionistic, jumbled highlight reel of Presley’s many accomplishments, despite vivid recreations by actor Austin Butler as The King. Go to Full Review

Jackie-the-Critic Jan 6 Elvis' story from an interesting point of view. Poignant. Authentic. Sad. See more Rhonda Jan 4 Excellent movie. His life & his story how he became Elvis was very moving. Well done. See more David C 09/22/2024 The direction of the story and the editing was a little choppy.... I don't think the main star looked that much like Elvis.... And Tom Hanks performance was almost laughable which was surprising but unfortunately it was pretty bad. See more TomE 08/24/2023 Great Biopic even tho it does hit all the cliché notes.
