Jim Schembri The Age (Australia) Delightful stuff. Rated: 3/5 Dec 10, 2014 Full Review David Stratton At the Movies (Australia) This large-scale Disney family film is sheer delight. Rated: 4/5 Dec 10, 2014 Full Review Joe Morgenstern Wall Street Journal Like the Cinderella figure she plays in Disney's Enchanted, Amy Adams spreads a contagion of delight. The movie is great fun, but she's enchanting. Nov 26, 2013 Full Review Grant Watson Fiction Machine The film may be 17 years old, but with Disney continuing to follow its decades-long formula it is as if Enchanted‘s jokes are never going to date. Rated: 8/10 Aug 28, 2024 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz Two joyous elements give Enchanted its spark - inspired and incisive songs by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz and the tour de force that is Amy Adams. Rated: 4/5 Nov 11, 2021 Full Review Sean Collier Box Office Prophets It's a feast of references and gentle self-deprecation for Disney fans, a pleasant if uninventive romcom and an altogether nice time at the movies. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/27/24 Full Review Conrad C Enchanted leans heavily on the clichés of the genre, obviously aware of them but sometimes unable to push past them to break new ground. What does carry the movie, though, is the idealistic Giselle, played by Amy Adams, who reminds us that maybe the real world should be a little more like a fairytale. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/22/24 Full Review Dale R Amy Adams stars as Giselle, a stereotyped Disney princess, who is exiled to the real world New York City by an evil queen. Amy Adams is fantastic in the lead role and steals the show from everyone else, she truly is a Disney princess. Most of the music by Alan Menkin is great, “That’s How You Know” is a personal favorite. The songs in the later half of the film devolve into pop sounding drivel that date the movie. There are countless references in this film to other Disney movies that make this film rewatchable. HIghly recommended movie, go check it out! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Caleb K Cliche, predictable, with at times obnoxiously annoying characters. However, overall enjoyable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/23/24 Full Review Luk E I like this film the music plot acting are perfect ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/05/24 Full Review David C All the naive sweetness of childhood with a very witty adult bite, great songs, a wonderfully knowing script, and incredible performances (most of all a star-making turn from Amy Adams) — it's just about perfect.
