A lazy late-summer weekend is disrupted by a shocking allegation when Delphine gets an anonymous call from her husband's colleague about an alleged affair with one of their adopted children. Before leaping to conclusions she decides to quietly observe her family for a shred of evidence; anything to subside her fear and erase doubt. After the truth presents itself in an unexpected, shocking manner, Delphine choses to look past the blame for a permanent solution. This boundary pushing debut feature by Kaveh Daneshmand paints an intimate portrait of an upper-class French family with sly black humor and sensuality aplenty.

None of these potentially intriguing avenues play out with much thought, diminishing the emotional effect of a tragedy that winds up seeming like an exercise in style. Go to Full Review

"Endless Summer Syndrome" is provocative and somewhat mysterious, but Daneshmand doesn't turn it into exploitation. Go to Full Review

ENDLESS SUMMER SYNDROME is a fascinating effort in no small part because it challenges us to consider and confront our own responses to the situation at hand in ways that feel designed to make us uncomfortable beyond just what is playing out onscreen. Go to Full Review

While perhaps a little too in-love with its own clever construction to explore its characters’ psyches to the fullest depth, Endless Summer Syndrome is a compellingly subversive concoction that dares raise uncomfortable questions with no easy answers. Go to Full Review

Demetrius Caldwell Aug 30 The film was very good but very disturbing because of its subject matter. The real issue for me and why it didn't stick the landing is because it largely offers no insight as to why these people did what they did or enough insight into the psyche of its characters. While filmmaker giving audience early clues, audience are invited to witness the events slowly unfold and lives unraveled from Delphine's perspective. Thrilling & unsettling, this film is sure to grab your full attention. See more Jerod S @jeroduptown Jun 28 Step-dad blows up a family in a weekend in the most painful way possible.
