Maureen Lee Lenker Entertainment Weekly While the mystery might be elementary (my dear, notably absent, Watson), the storytelling is winkingly subversive, proclaiming that a new and welcome game is afoot. Rated: B+ Feb 14, 2021 Full Review Robbie Collin Daily Telegraph (UK) Buoyant and precocious without being even slightly annoying, Brown has pinpoint comic timing, infectious perk, and a wholesome, tomboyish aura: imagine a young Keira Knightley crossed with Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Rated: 3/5 Nov 20, 2020 Full Review Lindsey Bahr Associated Press "Enola Homes" is the kind of movie that the preteen set will surely delight in and watch over and over. I know I would have. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 30, 2020 Full Review Yasmine Kandil Discussing Film This tale gives us the comfort of characters we know and love with a brand new style and rhythm. Rated: 4/5 Jul 9, 2024 Full Review Nadine Whitney Mr. Movie's Film Blog Indubitably, with Enola Holmes, the game is indeed afoot for a quality adventure and decent mystery; but mostly, the audience will be enchanted by the young detective and her humor and humanity. Sep 17, 2023 Full Review Jillian Chilingerian Offscreen With Jillian Millie Bobbie Brown stars as the title character in Enola Holmes. Brown, known as Eleven on Stranger Things, is radiant in this mature role where she is obviously having the time of her life. Aug 22, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Fil S So overrated and boring. I watched it with great difficulty. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/25/25 Full Review Rob A The ubiquitous Millie Bobby Brown routinely breaks the 4th wall as Sherlock Holmes kid sister, whom it turns out is no slouch as a sleuth herself. Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Man from UNCLE) plays Sherlock in a supporting role, and women's suffrage in England is the backdrop here (circa 1895). The film was heartfelt and delightful, and I fully expect a sequel. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/25/25 Full Review Ana B I can say that it's a very good movie! Let's say that the movie has some holes, but I think it's great. Enola is a girl, who from a very young age was taught by her mother, a very peculiar chores for a modest and respectable girl of the nineteenth century. In a way Enola Holmes learned activities, judged by masculine society, rather than more feminine activities. In the XIX century, women were mostly important for household chores, being submissive to their husbands, and how to have children, clean, iron, tidy up and others. But the film brings a very different perspective than usual, of a woman who wanted to change the world for her daughter, Enola Holmes, she raised her to be strong, and fearless. Enola goes through many adventures in search of finding her mother. The movie is of great quality, because the script is very good, the setting perfect, the costumes, the effects, the soundtracks, and the plot. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/17/25 Full Review Jun L Overall a good movie and I really enjoyed the plot, however, it kind of annoyed me on how much she broke the fourth wall, it makes it seem… I don’t know, almost cringey? Not hating, just a little odd to me. But definitely worth a watch! I’m currently rewatching it as I type this! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/25 Full Review Rupert W This is one of the worst films I gave ever seen. Unbelievably patronising to women, working class people, non white people, it is a farrago of abysmal story telling and right-on tropes. Avoid at all costs, If you have a brain. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/06/25 Full Review Audience Member Enola Holmes is an entertaining, fast-paced adventure that offers a fresh take on the Sherlock Holmes universe. Millie Bobby Brown shines in the title role, bringing energy and charm as the clever, independent younger sister of the famous detective. The film blends humor, action, and a mystery that’s both engaging and thought-provoking, with standout performances from Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter. Though it occasionally feels predictable, its empowering themes and Brown’s captivating performance make it a delightful watch for all ages.
