Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies While I wouldn’t call “Enter the Fat Dragon” a good movie, Donnie Yen at least makes it entertaining. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 20, 2022 Full Review Wilson Kwong VCinema Having said that, even without curbing your expectations too much knowing that this is essentially still a Wong Jing film, Enter the Fat Dragon is a fairly enjoyable piece of Hong Kong cinema. Feb 12, 2022 Full Review Casey Chong ScreenHK Fast, nonsensical and energetic enough to keep you occupied under the breezy 95-minute length. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 6, 2021 Full Review James Mudge easternKicks.com Enter the Fat Dragon is an unexpectedly great time, and is one of the funniest and most action-packed martial arts films from China this year so far, in the finest old school Hong Kong style. Rated: 4/5 Sep 16, 2020 Full Review Wade Major FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's a whole lot of fun. The action is great and the comedy is terrific. Jul 22, 2020 Full Review Chris Knight National Post Is it possible for a movie to be at once a throwback, a throw-down and a throw forward? Yes, yes it is. max t stupid. loud. interminable. i should have watched a donnie yen movie. oh… wait… i did… at least until i'd had enough. go watch or rewatch any other kung fu movie and you'll make better use of your time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Fun action sequences. Donnie Yen is great. The egregious racism and anti-Japanese sentiment is offensive and a huge negative. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Even it is for the Chinese new year, it can be a better and more serious. Well, Wong Jing's movie is that level anyway. Business is business. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review ogn d I'm paused halfway through it. It has been entertaining, but the choreographed fight scenes get redundant and too implausible--very Jackie Chanish. I don't know if I'll return for the second half. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Trash film. I love me some Donnie Yen but this was some major crapola. Very boring and not funny. Watch a better movie like the original enter the dragon. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review abe l Typical Wong Jing fare. An uneven tone with misplaced unfunny humour. The fact that he's fat barely has anything to do with the story at all and is just a gimmicky excuse to put Donny Yen in a fat suit. He doesn't even wear the Bruce Lee Game of Death outfit prominently used in marketing material. Fight scenes are decent, but there are better Donnie Yen films you can watch instead.
