"Equal Standard" sadly exhibits a consistent lack of restraint while the story widens its scope and stakes, falling notably short of its well-intentioned ambitions to honor multiple viewpoints amid rising racial tensions. Go to Full Review

Poorly paced and awkwardly written, Equal Standard brings little value to the issue of racism and the law. Go to Full Review

Relevant themes and Truvillion's stand-out performance rescue this drama from preachy dialogue and oversimplification of the tensions between Black communities and law enforcement. Go to Full Review

Facebook U 05/08/2021 Excellent movie that throughly depicted the hard truth regarding racial relations and the tension that exist between the Police and the Black community. See more Reginald K Feb 26 For a movie made for $100K+ the Director Brendan Kyle Cochrane did an unbelievable job. Shot in Queens in 11 days with 100 actors this was no small feat. Congratulations and props to Taheim for writing it. See more Jan C 03/09/2024 I found this to be one of the best reasons to help combat police brutality. I think this could be a good starting point for open, raw, and honest dialogue about integrity, accountability, and human nature. There is, and always will be, our side and their side. Somewhere in the middle is the truth. While I could've totally done without the excessive use of f-bombs and n-words, it didn't take away from the intent and message. I thought they'd show more about the children in the movie. Good job overall. I recommend this. See more jizzy b 07/13/2021 Excellent! There is nothing bad I've found in this movie. It`s relevance goes without words but the way is it put together is an attempt that many have tried. This movie delivers. See more 05/08/2021 Pretty Decent movie. One of the best Cop movies I've seen in a while. Acting could of been better but it was a decent movie. See more Read all reviews
