After a brutal breakup at a high-school graduation party, lovelorn Ohio teen Scott Thomas (Scott Mechlowicz) goes on a quest across Europe to find his sexy German pen pal, Mieke (Jessica Boehrs). Joining him are his brainless buddy (Jacob Pitts) and a pair of twins (Travis Wester, Michelle Trachtenberg) they meet up with in Paris. Scott's quest does not turn out to be easy, however, and the backpackers become embroiled in many farcical situations as they hop from country to country.

This kind of movie has never been my favorite genre. Of course this will bring some laughs, some cringy moments, Cooper Harris is the best. Great for background noise.

A trip back to a comedic era when there were no rails, be it for the corny sex jokes or the stereotypical ones. The american tourist under an European's view depicted by Americans is just priceless, packed with mockeries of both sides of the Atlantic. Matt Damon's cameo is just the cherry on top of this genre-classic I watch once a year.

Synopsis
