      Critics Consensus

Everyone's Hero is such a predictable and bland tale that it'll appeal mostly to little kids; others seeking something in Pixar's league are looking in the wrong ballpark.

London H A good movie for the family to watch gets boring/weird at parts though you might not be able to get through the full movie Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/16/23 Full Review Alex P I watched this movie as a kid and every time I watch it, it gives me nostalgia. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member What the heck?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ****ing piece of ****. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Everyone's Hero at its core is a very simple (some might say generic) inspirational underdog sports movie that just so happens to be animated as well. This film isn't doing anything anyone hasn't seen before and exactly how much you'll get out of this movie will depend on how keen you are on stories like this (and talking objects i guess). As for myself, i found a lot to like about this film. I liked the simplicty and feel-good nature of the story. I liked the geniune earnestness you got from the film and perhaps most shockingly of all, i found the animation not all that bad and some scenes really pretty. Everyone's Hero certainly offers plenty to criticize but it's also the kind of film that's hard to hate. I guess simple works sometimes. Steven D. Greydanus Decent Films Old-fashioned, sweet, but ultimately disposable family fare with echoes of better films from Toy Story to The Iron Giant. Rated: B- Oct 27, 2006 Full Review Brian Clark Austin Chronicle Young boys may be enchanted by the inspirational adventure, but for anyone over the age of nine, Yankee's journey is ultimately a dull one paved with good intentions.
