Marc Savlov Austin Chronicle Rated: 2/5 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Sean Gilman The Chinese Cinema A film that has all the trappings of an anti-communist, Handover-anxiety dystopia, but the real enemy all along turns out to be corporate capital. Jun 10, 2024 Full Review James Kendrick Q Network Film Desk boasts more than its share of slam-bang action sequences, all of which defy to some degree or another the laws of physics, but somehow feel more grounded due to the grittier nature of the mise-en-scene and the moody cinematography Rated: 3/4 Apr 25, 2024 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth Why So Blu While seemingly even more of an effort to promote a heavy dose of style over substance, Executioners gets by on bringing in so many involved from the previous film. Rated: 3/5 Feb 27, 2024 Full Review Rudie Obias Battleship Pretension Executioners is a bitter film with a darker tone and cynical sense of humor. Feb 22, 2024 Full Review Peter Martin ScreenAnarchy By exploring the characters further, the film has a greater dramatic impact, to go along with its even more spectacular action sequences. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The Heroic Trio are back and this time it's thirsty! There's some good action and explosions, but I was pretty disappointed by this shoddy sequel about water scarcity in nuclear fallout China. Plenty of camp and laughable effects. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A great returned of the three female heroes but also a sad returned. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member "The Heroic Trio", Maggie Cheung, Michelle Yeoh, and Anita Mui, are joined by Lau Ching-Wan, Damian Lau, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Paul Chun, Guan Shan, Eddy Ko, and a masked Anthony Wong. Great cast, great movie/sequel. I honestly don't get the bad reviews! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Good cast with good stunts and action, but the story is quite average. The movie seems a drag at times with unnecessary scenes to be added in the film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member The sequel of < Heroic Trio >. More substantial in content but less entertaining than its prequel. The coarse, loop-holed screenplay was still one big drawback, in the Hong Kong Cinema last century, during its prime time in particular. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews
