Audience Member As an admitted found footage junkie, this film serves as an example of the worst the sub-genre has to offer. I will say this, however: It is the BEST example of a film production coming apart at the seams. Script lacks cohesion, clarity, continuity, and anything resembling character growth. In fact, you feel pity only for those (oneself included) caught in this torrid tornado of attempted horror. Special effects are jokes played on the audience. Acting is equivalent to gas station sushi. Directing, well, why even start. If I could give it less than a star, it would be an insult to those films that got zero stars. Avoid or enter at your own risk. Just don't whine when you want the zero dollars you spent on it back. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Mockumentary film about a local legend & haunted house. I watched this on Tubi and at the minute 45 mark, they just decided for two whole minutes to go with zero sound over the picture...not even ambience. Same thing happens again at the 1 hour mark.... Then we go into possibly the two worst sex scenes I've ever seen- one involving a woman with her pillow (if once wasn't enough, then strap on your seatbelts because she does it again two more times). And the other involves that same poor actress and the film's screenwriter. Then the last 30 minutes is just an entirely over-expositioned video diary. I mean part of me wonders if this is a joke, but then I remembered that at least some effort is put into the first half. So I can't really call this a horror film, because the one element that might justify it as such involves a comical looking steampunk ghost that can emit fire from its head. It feels so out of place and is never reintroduced. I've even given it benefit of the doubt by watching twice, thinking maybe I missed something here. But if the movie is literally missing chunks of sound in areas; it honestly makes me wonder if the filmmakers even bothered to watch it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Read all reviews
