I wanted this movie to push further than what it ended up being, if only because I can see the potential it had to get there. Go to Full Review

isla s 09/04/2022 This film has a quote on the front cover which claims its like a combination of The Cell meets Inception. I haven't seen The Cell but I have seen Inception and it is a bit like a much lower budget version of that I suppose, in terms of the plot concept anyway. Its intriguing in its own way I suppose but it doesn't have the big CGI effects to back itself up and really bring the story to life, as it were. I found the plot fairly intriguing but I did find the rather wandering, a bit float-y type camerawork distracting, which went against it. Its certainly dull mid way through, which is a shame - its hardly a fast paced action thriller type watch but it does provide some food for thought perhaps, although I think, personally, I'd recommend people see either Minority Report or Inception, if you haven't already and are interested in the idea of accessing peoples memories and dreams, judging people based on the past etc. I wouldn't say its unwatchable, its an ok watch but not particularly memorable and certainly not stand out great, I'd say this is an average watch which is maybe worth seeing if it appeals but otherwise, wait for it to come on TV or similar rather than paying to see it. I think I may have preferred to have read this as a book, than to have watched it as a film. Of course, it barely needs to be said but if you are a sceptic regarding science fiction, then this film will most definitely not be for you. Having said that, the plot pace does speed up towards the end, so overall I'm sticking with a 5 out of 10 rating. See more 03/16/2019 A compelling psychological movie, Extracted is a outstanding science fiction movie that is amazing! See more 03/11/2019 The nauseating camera shake renders the movie unwatchable to me. See more 01/06/2019 Loved the premise but I felt more could have been done especially around traveling human consciousness. The ending was also not super clear. See more @c0urtn3y 12/28/2016 i liked it - i think the concept is super intriguing. sort of reminds me of an episode of Black Mirror. See more 09/05/2016 One of the best movies i have ever seen in my entire life.. Iv never felt the urge to ever write a review for any movie i have ever watched. For this movie, i feel like spreading the word, i feel like writing a great review on ever movie website that has this movie under rated due to critics who don't know anything.. Iv never felt this much emotion from a movie ever before, See more Read all reviews
