Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times It's all quite amusing up to a point, but unfortunately that point arrives early on in this practically two-hour-long take on a one-gag premise. Jan 24, 2019 Full Review James Mudge easternKicks.com Though undeniably slight and silly, Extreme Job is a solid popcorn flick, with enough laughs and thrills to keep the viewer entertained Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 21, 2020 Full Review John Lui The Straits Times (Singapore) This comedy balances its action setpieces - there are shootouts, extended fight scenes and car chases aplenty - with slower character-driven scenes that give viewers something to root for. Rated: 3.5/5 May 22, 2020 Full Review William Schwartz HanCinema I could pick out nearly any individual seven minute stretch of this movie and find some fairly brilliant gags. The problem is, add seven minutes to seven minutes to seven minutes and then...it all gets to be a little tiring. Nov 3, 2019 Full Review James Perkins Starburst Side splittingly funny from start to finish with unrivalled chemistry from each of the lead actors - it's the action-comedy we've all been waiting for. Rated: 9/10 Oct 25, 2019 Full Review Haleigh Foutch Collider Original, endlessly amusing, and ultimately gratifying, Extreme Job is a contender for feel-good movie of the year. Greg K Although silly and shallow, it does serve a fresh premise, funny slapstick and good chicken. Most hilarious scene: when the gangs dope-taster can't stop dipping and his boss allows him an additional try. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/24/23 Full Review Ivan C It's a Korean movie, so the subtitles made it a little harder to follow, but the translation did a good job on the idioms. The pretense was original, but the plot was a little formulaic. The actors were competent although the comedic nature of much of the action made parts of the film seem slightly juvenile. The action scenes were pretty well balanced, interesting with enough violence to keep the overall tone of the film serious, but with enough slapstick humor to bring out some real belly laughs. This is the sort of movie that Hollywood likes to rip off, thinking they can do it better because they are Hollywood, but ruin it instead. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/06/23 Full Review kenneth h This movie was piss my pants hilarious! Zany plot and cast Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Entertaining, funny and action packed, a delight to watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member I tried to like it but couldn't. Worst Korean movie I've ever seen. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Funny, entertaining. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
