Audience Member Well, if you like filmed theater this is your movie. The French play is already a chef d'oeuvre so it's hard to dislike this beautiful marivaudage (light-hearted gallantry) which is actually an intense drama involving materialistic characters playing with each other's feelings. The actors are all excellent. Pierre Arditi as the disguised countess servant is the best. Isabelle Huppert is tearful when she uncovers how she has been fooled. The only "annoying" thing about the False Servant is how they keep carrying to illuminate their faces with a lantern. At the end you want to tell them to put it down!
