What to Know

Critics Consensus

Eye-popping driving sequences coupled with a limp story and flat performances make this Drift a disappointing follow-up to previous Fast and Furious installments.

Anthony Quinn Independent (UK) This third outing made me almost nostalgic for the original movie starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. Almost. Mar 31, 2019 Full Review Tim Robey Daily Telegraph (UK) Whizzily underwhelming... Mar 31, 2019 Full Review James Christopher Times (UK) The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift is another dismal chapter in a franchise that started promisingly enough with Rob Cohen's rebel-with-too-much-horse-power-but-lots-of-chicks. Mar 29, 2019 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Racing scenes, the only reason people endure this franchise’s bad scripts and worse acting, are filmed unintelligibly fast and enhanced by generic computer effects. Rated: 0.5/4 Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Fully embracing car culture, yet without the over-the-top slang abused in the previous picture, this third chapter wisely dispenses with the undercover cop missions. Rated: 4/10 Aug 9, 2023 Full Review Brett Doze InSession Film This entry lacks due to Sean being the least interesting character in the film, but it also finds success by featuring some of the very best racing scenes of the entire franchise. Anthony I Tokyo Drift is a really cool movie. Cars used to be cool, remember? From the late 90s until around 2007, there was that era, where neon lights, custom paint jobs, rear wings and wide body kits were cool. And Tokyo Drift was the movie to mark the end of that era. Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift (2006) will make you want to buy a 350z, RX-7 or an EVO9 Fast and Furious X (2023) will make you stop watching in the middle of the movie. (true story, it happened to me, i just closed the window in the middle of the movie, it was unbearable) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/08/24 Full Review Zach B Despite being one of the most hated in the franchise, this film delivers on everything from compelling story to compelling characters with its only weakness being perhaps slightly weaker acting than I would expect from a film of this magnitude. Definetly becuase of the way the FaF timeline works I would recommend watching this film when it is supposed take place between FaF 6 and 7 as without the background on Hans past this film could perhaps feel weak when compared to the others Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/04/24 Full Review Giacomo P today I'm reviewing Fast and Furious 3 tokyo drift, yes the film is good but I think it's the film of the saga that I like least but it has many good things but I don't understand why they gave it a 38%, the movie deserves higher scores. here we don't see Paul Walker but we still see Vin Diesel who however only appears at the end of the film, I'll close this review by saying that the film is good but not up to the level of the other 2, see you next time Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/29/24 Full Review Max W eh nothing much. Fun seeing Tokyo in 2005 and watching this on my flight back Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/03/24 Full Review Lenin G Lo mejor de la saga con excelente historia, no verás carros voladores ni explosiones ridículas, lástima la gente no la supo valorar en el 2006. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/28/24 Full Review David W Phobe. It’s just boring, but that Hulk bingo car could be in CT5 vehicles. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/09/24 Full Review Read all reviews
