Audience Member Produced and written by Troian Bellisario of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ fame and based on on her real life experiences This is a personal story of hers of how grief affects someone drastically She plays Olivia, a high school student becoming valedictorian Her twin brother Matthew and her are bonded so largely But tragedy strikes when he’s killed in a car accident and Olivia spirals out of control Even to the point when she starts starving herself She also starts seeing hallucinations of her brother advising her to make certain decisions that affect her friends her bf The film touches on sensitive issues like suicide, bulimia, and mental health It’s one thing to lose someone close to us but another to lose ourselves entirely in the process It isn’t impossible though to be strong Bellisario gives a very heartbending performance as a girl trying to let go It’s not the easiest thing to do but the first step to getting better is the trickiest Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/06/24 Full Review Sam W These aren't problems I ever personally suffered with and I still really enjoyed the movie. I think that just goes to show this can appeal to a wider audience even though some might see the subject matter as "niche." It was just good all around. I didn't think it was cheap at all unlike the reviewer before me. I think with a bigger budget and marketing, this would've been a smash hit. Truly underrated. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/12/22 Full Review adam b I wanted to like it but it was too noticeably cheap and it didn't work for me, eve the story. Probably best to just avoid Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review farah r It's weirdly entertaining although I did find the story difficult to grasp. The performances were good and as a twin I got pretty emotional about her ordeal. I just wish the plot was better written. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member It's very rare for a movie to make me cry (I've had 5 movies ever make me cry), and this will be added to my list. Acting is outstanding. I felt the the setting was a little too quick. I would have liked to get to know her brother's character some more, but it was truly amazing. I never understood the depth of anorexia, and I think this hits another level on perspective. It makes you think that these people really aren't "crazy". What they feel and think is THEIR reality. Such a good watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member I absolutely loved this movie. the story is very touching and dramatic. way to go Troian Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
