Tucked far away from the white sandy beaches and amusement parks is a Florida that few outsiders ever see. Nestled alongside the gator infested swamps and rundown trailer parks lives a charismatic yet dangerous grifter named MACK MONROE (Ronnie Gene Blevins) who takes in orphans and runaways off the street. A self proclaimed father to the forgotten, Mack gives these lost souls only semblance of a home they've ever known... but at what cost? Mack trains his ragtag gang in the art of thievery and crime, filling their vulnerable minds with vigilante gospels and together wreak havoc by knocking off drug dealers and meth labs. Hot on their tail is DETECTIVE ELLIS (AnnaLynne McCord), an ass-kicking tough as nails cop who not only fights crime, but is also forced to fight for respect in a patriarchal police force. Mack and the gang's world gets flipped upside down with the arrival of a mysterious young girl, who at first seems like the perfect new recruit but turns out to be something far more dangerous than anyone could have imagined.

jelisije j A movie that would have been better as a tv series. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Low budget movie about a grifter and his group of orphans who are up to no good trying to survive. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/03/21 Full Review Maryn M Giving the film half a star for accuracy in what they got right: the violent, backward, radicalized mindset that has become the hallmark of Florida. The film presents what Florida desires to do to the rest of the country: glorifying and normalizing the grimy underbelly of humanity: violence, drugs, psychopaths who traumatize and control children, and a general sense of twisting the viewer's perspective to accept criminal psychopaths as the true heroes of the world, if not just this movie. Bad acting, bad storyline on top of that. Hard pass. Here's a hint: there are over 100 audience ratings for this movie, but no overall audience score available even 2 months after release, and the only audience ratings shown are 5 positive ones. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/28/21 Full Review Audience Member I was pleasantly surprised with this one! Just rented it on whim because the poster looked cool, wasn't expecting much, especially since it's a first time filmmaker. But I gotta say the movie was great! It was dark and edgy and the suspense kept me intrigued. Also great twist at the end! Definitely recommend this to anyone who's into indie thrillers! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Such a good script and the plot twists in the middle had me gasping!!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Feral State!!! Seen the trailer on YouTube and finally got to see the full movie..
