Gary Arnold Washington Post A good deal of acting talent is wasted on negligible or disreputable material in Fighting Back. Jul 28, 2015 Full Review Richard F. Shepard New York Times Although the message does not get delivered with crystal clarity, the movie is fast-moving, attention-holding and even thoughtprovoking. Jul 28, 2015 Full Review Paul Taylor Time Out There's political conscience somewhere in the script which places its hero as a blood-lust racist and an opportunist politico, but it's all too easily drowned by the crowd-pleaser set pieces of 'righteous' revenge. Jul 28, 2015 Full Review TV Guide A muddled narrative undercuts this overly ambitious film's attempt to explore urban vigilantism, and diffuses any insights the film might have offered. Rated: 2/5 Jul 28, 2015 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Ambitious but heavily flawed urban thriller. Rated: C+ Jul 14, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews

Jonathan O Fighting Back is a different kind of Death Wish and Vigilante but is a solid entertaining revenge action thriller and it's shocking of violence and about politics of violence and gangs thugs home invasion and all the stuff what's going on in America. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Great 80's film with a classic good fighting back at the bad guys in life theme to it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Urban decay prompts a Philadelphia deli operator to form a neighbourhood citizen patrol that takes the offensive with thugs. Pretty realistic, right down to the mayor frowning on such activity when he feels the man threatens him politcally. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Fed up with the rampant crime in his neighborhood, a local shop owner organizes a neighborhood watch to take back the streets by any means necessary. At times a little over the top but still entertaining vigilante thriller. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Effective, if a bit silly. Skerritt is earnest, though never quite Italian. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Boasts the epic scope, ambition and seemingly (if not actually) length of a "Godfather" film. The quality, not so much, though it can be interestingly bizarre. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews
