En route to Memphis, Tenn., on a solemn solo road trip, widower Byron Gruman (Johnathon Schaech) picks up a disarming hitchhiker who claims to be the late, great Elvis Presley (Harvey Keitel). As Gruman opens up about the loss of his wife, Beatrice (Gretchen Mol), in a tragic car accident, his bizarre passenger becomes a surprisingly powerful source of wisdom and comfort. The duo even picks up a Marylin Monroe impersonator, Ashley (Bridget Fonda), during the surreal pilgrimage to Graceland.

William B I'm not a great Elvis fan, but this film touched my heart, it has mystery and hope. It's about how people think of Elvis, a true original performer an inspiration to so many. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/25 Full Review Steve D It ends up being an aimless trip Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review isla s This is a distinctly quirky film, with an introverted character and a very extroverted/brash one, played by Harvey Keitel, who it seems believes people actually think of him as being Elvis (or he's very deluded - or both?). Its quite bizarre and I felt, as a viewer, unsure about how the assumed journey the two main characters appear to be on, started but nonetheless I enjoyed it. If you've ever wanted to see Harvey Keitel perform as The King of Rock & Roll then this is the film for you! By the end it becomes surprisingly poignant and overall I would definitely recommend it.
