Todd Andrew B Terrible script and acting. It really made no sense at all. Super hokey props and scenes. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/13/24 Full Review Remigiusz L Acting is mid, story good and weird plot twists. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/24 Full Review Anchi L Finding 'Ohana offers massive fun and adventure in the beautiful setting of Hawaii. It was nice to see Ke Quan's cameo in the film, a nostalgic nod to the Goonies and Indiana Jones! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/21/23 Full Review Sency L Worth watching. True definition of every story we hear , every rumour has some truth in it 🥰🥰 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/07/23 Full Review Chris M This is nothing but a discount Goonies that has a modern PC message that treasure hunting is bad. Also there's another odd message that "Hawaii is wonderful! And every place not Hawaii, stinks." Did the Hawaiian tourist bureau write the movie? Also, there is no reason this movie had to be over two hours. It's not an MCU movie, it doesn't have the pacing or the likable characters to need that runtime. Considering the outcome of the story. It's not awful by any means, but it's not good either. Check it out if you can't find anything else to watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Rosana B Que lindinho, um filme de aventura e fantasia infanto juvenil gostosinho, assisti com minha afilhada que adorou… Linda a menina Kea Peahu… Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times [W]hile its beats are familiar, TV director Jude Weng's debut feature diverges from its well-worn path when it matters, staying true to its heart and love of Hawaiian culture. Jan 29, 2021 Full Review Lauren Saria Arizona Republic It would be easy to write off "Finding 'Ohana" as a Goonies redux... But the visibility the film offers for the complexity and beauty of Hawaiian culture makes it so much more. Rated: 4/5 Jan 29, 2021 Full Review Nell Minow RogerEbert.com An entertaining mix of adventure, comedy, heartwarming family moments, and even a little (teen) romance. Rated: 3.5/4 Jan 29, 2021 Full Review M.N. Miller Ready Steady Cut Netflix’s Finding ‘Ohana is safe for parents and their children to watch together while being seen through a historically different point of view that has been missing in the live-action family film genre and is usually reserved for animation. Rated: 3/5 Sep 11, 2022 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Its message is that the best treasure we can find is our friends. Rated: C+ Jan 14, 2022 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth We Live Entertainment Given the intended audience and the grab at nostalgia, fun goes a long way, and director Jude Weng delivers what's needed.
