Dennis Harvey 48 Hills William Nigh’s 1926 MGM production is a fun popcorn entertainment whose thrills are only lent further charm by some rather crude back-projection effects. May 9, 2022 Full Review Michael Barrett PopMatters Stencils and tints are digitally restored. While the results are imperfect, they indicate how color got used in sophisticated ways as an added attraction. May 5, 2022 Full Review Robert E. Sherwood LIFE The Fire Brigade is a singularly fine picture -- straightforward, true, exciting and commendably elementary. Oct 5, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A film for me that ended up being a 7 year journey to from identifying the film & just recently viewing it. I first gained exposure to the film from the epic 10 hour Documentary Hollywood! By Kevin Brownlow. It truly is an amazing film. The story of an all Irish Fire Fighting Family & their lives as well as there work. As the film progresses they challenge a dodgy construction company wanting to build an orphanage cutting many costs which obviously cause fire risk. As cliche & predictable this film is it makes up for it with the sheer excitement of the films pace & action sequences. Some of the most amazing fire sequences put to film. I enjoyed every minute of it & I only wish one day they will release it on DVD.... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
